Honoring the winners of the Quranic Women's Competition for Blind Memorizers

You are happy of winning the competition, and we are happy of your interest, as in this field, there are no winners or losers, for you are among the winners as long as the Noble Qur’an and the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) are your companions.

Hawzah News Agency – The al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine honored, in the presence of its Senior Official, His Eminence Sayed Ahmad al-Safi and its general secretary, the first five winners of the Quranic Women's Competition (Dhawat al-Hemam) for the objective memorization of the Holy Qur'an, for the category of blind memorizers, which is organized by the Qur'anic Department of the Quranic Studies of the Umm al-Baneen (peace be upon her) e-university of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine.
Sayed al-Safi congratulated the winners and their families for this achievement presented by these role models to the community, and said: “We are proud of your persistence and your successes, and that others should learn from you." Adding:" You are happy of winning the competition, and we are happy of your interest, as in this field, there are no winners or losers, for you are among the winners as long as the Noble Qur’an and the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) are your companions.”"
In the same context, the head of the Qur’anic Studies Department, Professor Ali al-Bayati, stated to Al-Kafeel Network, that “the competition was organized with the support and sponsorship of the Senior Official of the al-Abbas’s (p) Holy Shrine, as part of the competitions held by the Qur’anic Studies Department at Umm al-Baneen (Peace be upon her) women electronic university. And because the objective memorization is of great importance in the social life of the Muslim individual, especially for those who are unable to memorize the entire Holy Qur’an due to their preoccupation or inability to do so."
He added: "The competition was prepared to suit this segment and under the supervision of a specialized jury, and a group of blind sisters from various Iraqi governorates participated in it. It was held via the Google meet platform, with the active presence and participation of the National Quranic Blind Foundation, and the presence of a jury specialized in the field of objective memorization."
The results of the competition resulted in the winning of:
First place: Ruqaya Adeeb/ Baghdad.
Second place: Aya Emad/ Diyala.
Third place: Dea/ Baghdad.
Fourth place: Fatima Muhammad / Basra.
Fifth place: Hanan Muften / Basra.
For his part, the head of the independent National Quranic Blind Institution, Dr. Wissam Khazali, expressed his sincere thanks to the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine for presenting this unique event - as he described it -, expressing his wish for the continuation of such blessed activities to encourage the different energies of the blind segment.
